Do cats get colds?
Cats do get common upper respiratory infections. They're usually caused by viruses, although just as with the viruses that make us miserable, secondary bacterial infections can play a role.
Upper respiratory infections are very contagious, but only to other cats. The viruses that love to invade us are not interested in cats, and vice versa. In other words, you can't catch a cold from your cat, and your cat can't catch a cold from you.

michelle : I love animals, landscaping and koi ponds, camping, the outdoors, weight lifting, dancing, reading, photography, and my church. I have always had a strong passion and desire to some how provide care to animals in a unique way. ( I can't bring home anymore animals) so I would love to open up an all natural and unique pet n' us store someday. I pray someday I will succeed at my goal.
